Last Week's Results:

 

The Varsity squad started things off with a late mid-week start (8:30pm) for a rescheduled game versus Olentangy Liberty on Tuesday, January 7 at the Ice Haus. Liberty tied the game late in regulation when they pulled their goalie for an extra skater. To make matters worse, the Cardinals eventually fell in overtime with a final score of 4-3. Goalie Dylan Fansler was active all night in a stellar 50+ save outing! Will Howard, Danny Roncone and Colin Hughes all netted a goal apiece for the Cards in defeat.

 

A trip down to the Queens City Sportsplex to face St. Xavier resulted in a 5-0 triumph on Sunday, January 12. Congrats to Simon Keller for notching his first varsity goal in the contest! Other scorers included Hogan Mickey, Tommy Scharfenberger, Alex Martin and Gabe Sotak. Dylan Bell held down the fort with a 19 save shutout.

JVA went 2-0 over the weekend starting with a back and forth contest against Upper Arlington on Friday, January 10 at the Ice Haus. The Cardinals pulled away for a 7-4 win before turning around the next night and knocking off Dublin Jerome 4-2 at Chiller Dublin.

The JVB Cardinals had a busy schedule with games Friday, Saturday & Sunday. The squad took it to Columbus Academy (11-0) on Friday before tying Olentangy Orange late Saturday night (3-3) – with both games at Ice Works. Sunday featured an amazing team performace as the boys turned a late 4-2 deficit with 3:00 minutes remaining into a 7-4 win. Outstanding effort and determination!

  

This upcoming week finds MLK Jr. tournaments for both Varsity and JVB in Toledo while JVA has a single matchup on Saturday when they square off with Olentangy Liberty at 8:30pm at Chiller Dublin. Good luck to all three teams this weekend!
