Last Week's Results:

While the Varsity squad prepares for a rematch with Olentangy Braves in the district quarterfinals, this past week featured a normal practice schedule and a contingent of players who attended the JV CBJ final featuring JVA and Upper Arlington.

Speaking of the JV CBJ Cup, things started out with a 'Battle of the Brotherhood' last Friday night at Ice Works with JVA and JVB squaring off for the first time! After jumping out to a 6-0 lead, JVA took their foot off the gas and found their lead trimmed to 7-4 before adding more goals in the third period for the 11-4 win.

That put JVA into the semi-finals against Olentangy Liberty that resulted in a 6-2 triumph and matchup against Upper Alrington on Sunday at the Ice Haus. The championship featured a chaotic first period with rapid scoring and plenty of scoring opporutunies for both teams. The score was already 3-2 St. Charles with nearly eight minutes still to play in the first! Things calmed down from there as the defense and goalies settled in, but the Cardinals scored a few more and held on for a final score of 6-3 to become the JV CBJ Cup champs! 

Hats off to JVB for a hard fought game and for putting up the most goals against JVA in their three game tournament! Both JV squads will head up to Cleveland to compete in the state JV playoffs held at Gilmour Ice Arena.
