SC White:
Congratulatons to SC White for clinching the CBJ JV Cup! The boys enjoyed a fantastic week of hockey with wins over Dublin Jerome B, Upper Arlington and Olentangy Orange.
Friday's contest was a straightforward 7-2 victory with Fritz Oberhammer and Evan Gough both scoring two goals apiece while Kellen Finegan, Mykolas Jackson and Evan Korosec contributed goals of their own.
Saturday featured yet another matchup with Upper Arlington and this one was tight throughout. Two goals by Jameson Hoffman and another by Evan Korosec ensured the Cards would play in the final on Sunday as the defense held the Golden Bears scoreless in a 3-0 win.
Sunday's championship game against Olentangy Orange was a statement win as the Cards dominated the entire game in what ended up being a 6-0 blowout. Evan Gough again found the back of the net twice as Jameson Hoffman, Kellen Finegan, Evan Korosec and Aidan Reel all added to the goal total.
Goalie Leander Schearer was in net for both games on Saturday and Sunday – totaling 42 saves in back-to-back shutouts. Congrats to the entire team and coaches for an awesome season full of accomplishments! SC White will start their state playoff run against St. Francis this Friday at Gilmour.
