As the 2026-2027 season quickly approaches, it's time to look back at what has transpired since the high school season ended.
Congratulations to our Cardinals who represented the Columbus Chill 18u National Team (Tommy Scharfenberger, Dylan Fansler, Dylan Bell, Will Howard & Alex Martin) at the 2026 USA Hockey Tier II 18 & Under National Championships in West Chester, PA in April. The team finished the tournament with a perfect 6-0 record capped off with a 4-3 overtime victory in the final over the Nashville Jr. Predators.
Cardinals head coach Danny Greiner and assistant coach Jake Schlade were on hand to witness the first youth national championship a Columbus hockey team has won. Read more about the team's victory on the USA Hockey website.
Locally, St. Charles had three players nominated for the Columbus Dispatch Hockey Player of the Year – Dylan Bell, Will Howard and Tommy Scharfenberger. Out of the twelve total nominees, congratulations goes to Dylan Bell for winning the award.
On the ice, players have been taking part in coaches skates and several helped with the St. Charles summer youth hockey camp that took place in July featuring high turnouts each day. Thanks to everyone who volunteered and participated!
Lastly, the 4th Annual St. Charles Hockey Golf Outing will take place on August 7th at The Golf Club of Dublin. Thank you to those who have already contributed, sponsored, or committed to play golf.
We still have multiple ways to support the outing: golfing, sponsorships, 50/50 raffle tickets, and donations. Feel free to register for golf or sponsor below:

We look forward to seeing everyone either at the outing or on the ice soon enough. Have a great rest of the summer!
