The Varsity team played the programs only games this past weekend – sweeping Delta Hockey at the Ice Haus for games on Friday and Saturday before losing a nailbiter in Cleveland against St. Ignatius.

Varsity
Friday's night featured a pretty straightforward win against Delta Hockey in a 5-0 game that featured two goals by Simon Keller and additional scoring courtesy of Mikey Pagnotto, Harry Hadden and Gabe Sotak. Dylan Bell secured the shutout in net.
The rematch on Saturday was definitely more interesting as Delta came out firing and grabbed a quick 1-0 lead. The Cards responded with goals from Mikey Pagnotto and Tommy Scharfenberger to go up 2-1 after the first period. Simon Keller netted his third goal of the weekend to start the second period scoring before Will Howard and Jack Goodwin added goals of their own.
Delta got a second tally with a wall of screens against Dylan Fansler, but then play stopped altogether with around 7:15 left in the third thanks to a fist-sized hole in the ice that went all the way down to the concrete. After a good 15 minutes of work by the Ice Haus staff and lots of congretating amongst the players, the decision was made to call the game – resulting in a final score of 5-2.
Sunday's game featured a trip up to the John Coyne Recreation Center to take on St. Ignatius. Having not played since the prior Sunday, Ignatius flew around the ice and scored first on a wraparound attempt. Gabe Sotak scored right as a Cards power play expired in the second to tie things up, but Ignatius used their spacing to execute two more goals to stake them to a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Another Gabe Sotak goal came on a 3 on 0 rush and unselfish pass from Will Howard, but that was all the closer the Cards could pull despite numerous chances and sustained energy to finish the last ten minutes of play.

SC White:
Our SC White squad enjoyed a weekend off of games as they look ahead to the stretch run and final third of the season. Much like they did a couple weeks ago against Olentangy Orange, their oppenent for the next three games will be Olentangy Liberty with games taking place this Fri/Sat/Sun.

SC Red:
St. Charles Red also had a stress free weekend without any games, but take to the ice with matchups against Dublin Jerome, Westerville Warcats and Kilbourne lined up for this weekend.
